From humble beginnings, the Andrews Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kingston, Jamaica, has blossomed into a cherished place of worship and community service. Back in 1940, an annex at Andrews Memorial Hospital (AMH) served as a gathering space for devotional exercises, bringing solace to patients, staff, and a few esteemed members of the community.
Meet Our Pastor
Omar Z.D. Oliphant is a multifaceted servant of God with a diverse background in theology, law, leadership, and church administration. Currently serving as a Director at the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists since June 2022, Omar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. His leadership skills are further honed by his ongoing PhD in Leadership at Andrews University, expected to be completed in 2024.
