Pastor Omar
Z.D. Oliphant

Omar Z.D. Oliphant is a multifaceted professional with a diverse background in law, theology, leadership, and church administration. Currently serving as the Director at the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists since June 2022, Omar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. His leadership skills are further honed by his ongoing PhD in Leadership at Andrews University, expected to be completed in 2024.

Pastor Oliphant’s career spans over two decades, with his most recent role as a Senior Pastor at Andrews Memorial SDA. His responsibilities in this role include organization, planning, and church administration. In addition to his pastoral duties, Omar also practices as an Attorney at Law. His legal education is from his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) from The University of the West Indies, Mona, and a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School.

The Pastor’s educational background also includes a Bachelor’s of Arts in Religion and Theology with a Minor in Mass Communications from Northern Caribbean University and a Master of Arts in Church Administration and Leadership from Herbert Fletcher University.
